Welcome to the Diverse Family Day Care

Growing family & child care service provider!

Diverse Family Day Care is a quality and professional Family Day Care service serving for children between the ages of 0-5 (Early Years Learning Framework) to 6-13 (My Time Our Place) years of age. We uphold the values of the Early Childhood Australia’s Code of Ethics and abide by the Early Childhood National Laws and National Regulations. We are consistently aiming to maintain or go above the National Quality Standards. We are a small Family Day Care Service in the heart of Yagoona providing quality childcare service for all families.

Diverse ’s FDC Philosophy is based on the vision that children learn best when they are healthy, happy, supported, and well-adjusted individuals (being).
Our play-based curriculum with Holistic Approach is guided by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the My Time Our Place (MTOP) as well as The National Quality Standards (NQS) which safeguards quality of our service.

Diverse FDC recognises that children are unique individuals, and we focus on each child Interests, Strengths, and Weaknesses. Our play-based programs and flexible routines are designed to give children a wide range of active and meaningful experiences, building Self-esteem, Friendships and Cultural Identity. We believe that through play and leisure activities children develop skills, knowledge, feelings, and dispositions that provide a solid foundation for the transition to school, participation in discourses and interaction with their life-long learning (becoming).
Learning that occurs in our play-based environments is often informal, gained as Children and Educators interact, explore, and try out different ways of Being and Doing things, that our Educators and Coordinators have intentionally and spontaneously plan.

Whether learning is formal or informal we believe that Adults play Pivotal role in Children’s development across all five developmental domains. We understand that families are children’s first and most influential teachers and that they have valuable information about their children to share with us.
We respect parents’ childrearing practices, cultures, beliefs, and the partnership with families are one the most important aspects of our work. We endeavour to build sound and reciprocal relationship with Parents/Guardians, extended Family Members, and the Community (belonging).
We have an open-door policy, so we encourage family members to share their experiences and culture with us. we acknowledge and respect that each team member has his/her own set of values, interests, strengths, professional identity, and life experiences.
The scheme supports team members to peruse their own personal and professional goals while working in the boundaries of prescribed frameworks.
We believe that we have a moral responsibility to educate future generations that The Aboriginal People hold a unique status of being the First People of Australia, to acknowledge the Original Custodians of this Land through Aboriginal Perspectives and the Sustainability practices. Our day-to- day practice promotes, encourages, and supports children to be problem seekers, problem solvers and takers of action in their own environments. We strive to build relationships, model sustainable values and practices and support life-long leaning for a sustainable future through moral decisions we make.
